Provence Hiking 8 Days
Discover the perfection of hiking in Provence. This tour provides a microcosm of all the famous characteristics of Provence: Roman ruins, perched or hanging villages painted pastel hues, artists’ colonies in the scenery which inspired them, and a vibrant culture best expressed in the colourful and busy markets.

Hotel Le Burrhus, Vaison-La-Romaine

This hotel overlooks a pretty square right in the heart of Vaison. The hotel has been recently renovated, and often hosts art exhibits in the hotel’s lounges; the owners are very friendly and there is dedicated garage for bike storage. Straight Talk: rooms are smallish and aren’t completely sound-proofed, but we have often stayed here and enjoyed.

Les Flôrets, Gigondas

With a superb location at the foothills of the Dentelles de Montmirail guests enjoy a lovely swimming pool and views from a shaded terrace. This hotel & restaurant has been owned and operated by the Bernard family for three generations. Located 1.4 km from the village of Gigondas. Recommended by Alistair Sawday’s Special Places & Guides de Charme

Les Geraniums, Le Barroux
Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, Les Geraniums is set in a charming stone building in the medieval village of Le Barroux. The restaurant, Saveur et Terroirs, serves regional cuisine and offers panoramic views of the Provence countryside.
Straight Talk: The guest rooms are smallish, but most guests sit out on the geranium filled terrace enjoying drinks before dinner.

Domaine des Tilleuls, Malaucene

This 3-star hotel was a silk farm in the 18th century and has been meticulously restored with tasteful antiques and artwork. The light, airy rooms are decorated in calming muted colours. The gardens surround a lovely sunny pool.

Hotel Beffroi, Vaison-La-Romaine

Located in the medieval village, this chateau features lovely gardens, a restaurant and a pool. It is in one of the most beautiful 16th century mansions in the Old City of Vaison; you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside.

L'Evêché, Vaison-La-Romaine

A luxurious B&B located in the haute village with just five guest rooms, this property was once owned by the bishop of Vaison. There are great views of the old town and the castle, and lively Vaison with great restaurants is a stroll away.

La Ravigote, Gigondas

This lovely farmhouse is simple and comfortable with a great location just 2.5 km from Gigondas center. The proprietors are friendly and welcoming.

Mas de la Lause, Le Barroux

This B&B has a lovely garden and grounds, 1 km from the center of Le Barroux. The colourful rooms are named after the typical flowers of Provence.

Le Pont de l'Orme, Malaucene

This is our newest discovery in Provence, a small inn (5 rooms) run by two sisters with fabulous local restaurant (open every day except Tue, Wed). The welcome is friendly and Malaucene is a short stroll away.

"We… wanted to thank you personally for an absolutely perfect tour of Provence. We were able to absorb so much of the sights and sounds of this beautiful area and enjoy a completely relaxing vacation thanks to the efforts of you and your staff who arranged all the details so capably and thoroughly."
