	Hotel Duran Figueres This is the top-rated TA hotel in Figueres. Located in the historical center, walking distance from the Dali museum and with an excellent restaurant, this hotel is a fine one to start your Catalonia experience.
	Hotel San Roc Calella de Palafrugell This 3-star boutique hotel boasts sea-view rooms and a great location. It has been in the same family for 3 generations. “Quite simply the hotel has the best position in the most charming resort on the most beautiful and rugged coast on the whole Mediterranean.” Arnold Z, Leeds, England. *We sometimes use Hotel Trias in Palamos and this is an option if you prefer. Both hotels are comparable, but the road between Callela de Pelafrugell and Palamos can be busy.
	Hotel Historic Girona Frommers says it best: “This hideaway boutique hotel, often a retreat for Spanish movie stars, is our favourite nest in the area…The inn, which opens onto views of a Gothic-vaulted cathedral, was formed from a 9th century house that incorporates part of a former wall and a 3rd century aqueduct.”


	Mas Falgarona , Figueres Located just outside of Figueres, this luxurious 4-star hotel is one of Catalonia’s finest. The 15th century building has been lovingly restored and with just 11 rooms (and pool), it is a haven of peace and quiet. Brigitta and Severino warmly welcome guests.
	Castell d'Emporda, La Bisbal d'Emporda This restored medieval castle, now a 4-star hotel, offers romantic lodging. The rooms are spacious and the bar and restaurant here are excellent. Lance Armstrong used to cycle out here often. *For those who may prefer the 5-star Mas de Torrent, when available, this can be booked at an upgrade fee of $200 pp.
	Hotel Llegendes, Girona This 4-star hotel is located in the historic center of Girona and is intimate with just 15 rooms. The design incorporates the historic property with contemporary décor.
